I graduated from Rutgers University Camden in the Spring of 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. I also graduated with honors with Summa Cum Laude. This page contains both of those degrees. I chose to major in English for two reasons: 1) Every school subject requires some degree of reading and writing, so students will need to learn it across the curriculum. 2) The literature I have studied in college has so many life lessons that are important for students to learn. By majoring in English, I learn those life lessons I can then teach to my students. Maybe I will not teach these lessons through the literature I have read in college per se, but I can take these lessons out of the literature and teach it to students using another method.
