The heart of teaching lies in the strategies we use to help our students learn. As preservice teachers, we learn about different instructional strategies from a variety of sources. I have been learning about different instructional strategies from the moment I started taking my education courses. When I was first asked to make my hand-held portfolio, there was a section for “Reflections from the Class”. That section was dedicated to reflecting on the different strategies my professor showed us while in her class. That is what this section for the electronic portfolio is for as well. This section will be used to reflect on various strategies I have come across in my teacher preparation program and in student teaching that I think will work for me as a teacher.
